as a child i saw a film i can remember just 2 frames from the film i was wondering if any of u could tell me which film it is

i cant remember an awful lot about this film but i am pretty sure its black and white and also wat i remember of the film is that it is based around two guys (pretty young lads i say mid 20's) and thiers a rich kid and his mate who is the poor one. Well basically the rich kid is supposed to take over his fathers business or start work and he doesnt want to do the job so he starts working as a peon to his poor mate and tell his mate to act like he is the boss, this particular scene which i rememeber is when a guy walks in and the rich kid hides in the closet and the poor guy who is suppose to be acting as the rich one is asked by this guy that has walked in his office that he wants this particular file the poor kid opens the closet or the guy that has walked in opens it and the rich kid who is hiding in the closet hands the file over (basically the guy that walks in to the room doesnt realise somone is hiding in the closet.

i am also pretty sure Mehmood is in the film as a Tangewala (he gets kicked out of his house by his wife or mother) and the scene i remember of his is that he is complaining and mouring after being kicked outside form his house and he goes to sleep on the road

i know the information isnt an awful lot, but thats all i remember from this film if anyone knows wat the film i am refering to please do let me know thanks

Don't know if this is the right film - but I remember a film called 'Sanjh aur Savera' where Mehmood played a tangewala. The film also starred Meena Kumari (and I think Guru Dutt). I remember a song where Mehmood has been kicked out of his house (something like 'Zindagi mujh ko dikhade raasta'). I am really not sure if this is the film that you described - I can barely remember anything about it aside from 2 songs! ???

hey guys thanks for the help.(though i doubt we are talking about the same film) as i am pretty certain the film mainly revolves around a rich guy and a poor guy and both in early 20's but i will surely ask around the local video shops to see if they have this film, see if this is the one or not

Congress i am Aftaab from uk, the singapore guy is Jasbir (we are both managing the http://www.amitabh4u.com site)

anyone else have any idea of the above film

amitabh miya, hope you dont mind, but i would like to know if anyone knows which movie is the following song is from?

it goes something like this:

Great Thanks!! I seen the portion of that song in one of the lata mangeshkar video ad. How is the movie?

Anyway, will be looking out for the movie in local store. i beleive it has been released by Video Sound on DVD, if it is not that movie.. then .. too bad so saddd :D

SHAGIRD was NOT a b/w movie...it was made in Eastman color....also it has the famous song....'Woh hain zara, khafa khafa'

if you can ALSO remember this song was there in the movie then this should be it...

it had Joy Mukherjee play the lead role with I.S.Johar playing his 'guru' to whom he was a 'shagird' (mentee).....and ofcourse the love interest was Saira Banu looking ethereal....
