PLAY ANY DVD ON EARTH!
We are proud to carry the code-free DVP-520 DVD player by Malata. Malata DVD players are renowned for being able to play any DVD, regardless of region coding or PAL formatting. And, unlike cheap all-region DVD players from other companies, the Malata will display widescreen PAL DVDs in their correct aspect ratio. Because of its singular ability to effectively eliminate overscan through its X-Y scaling feature, Malata is the only choice for DVD enthusiasts who want to play DVDs from around the globe without any limitations. Just check out these features:

Dont Use Asoka R1/R2 plsss, for GOD sake!

I think, LAGAAN R1/R2 will be GOOD one!

MK, r2 is not out, not either Monsoon wedding.r1 for comparison!

Any Hollywood film? could be used..possibly! :sus: :baaa:

Results are predictable. PAL version will always win.

Yes it does! Many people have used this feature to correctly display the aspect ratio of incorrectly mastered DVDs - i.e. Police Story from Hong Kong Legends – DEI DVDs in particular with benefit from this feature. Also useful for getting rid of the over scan on TVs.

I'm planning to buy the DVP-520 to go with my Panny TH-42PWD4UY. I will be using the Panny in Europe. I have two questions:

- has anybody had a bad experience with that combination (anybody with good experience please chime in)?
- I know it can convert PAL DVDs to a NTSC signal. My questions can it also convert NTSC DVDs to a PAL signal?

many thanks

Short answer, yes. It converts both ways.
