Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham has broken all previous records in India and the overseas markets. With a record of over 600 prints, 401 prints in India and 207 prints in the overseas market, the second week of the film is running to house full boards.

K3G has created hysteria in the film industry and the public, which, is clearly shown from the figures available from these centers. Even smaller centers like Sangli, Vapi, Bhuj, Rajkot, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Aligarh and even the Southern and Eastern centers of India have broken all previous records held by other films in terms of collections. The 2nd week advance booking has been the same as when the film opened on the 14th of December 2001.

K3G has crated history in the world of Indian Cinema by becoming the first film to reach the number 3 position in the UK Top Charts, collecting an astounding £473355.00 during the weekend making it the highest screen average of over £10,000. K3G has lived upto its expectations by beating stiff competition from Zoolander and the Others (both of which are on around 300 screens each) and is just two spots below the monstrous hit of the season Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to secure the number 3 position.

K3G in the US has created history again in the world of Indian cinema by becoming the first film to gross more than one million dollars in just 3 days. K3G is Karan Johar’s second directorial venture. His first, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai ended up with a $2 million run in North America. His second venture K3G is all set to make historical box office records.

Also some actual figures, specially those from the US & UK might be more convincing. The fact is that the movie is not doing VERY great business in India. In Bombay and Delhi maybe but rest of India not really. Infact in Delhi even in the first week the collections were only 90%. Although it must be said that the total capacity from Delhi for the first week was very high therefore even 90% is very good.

I am glad if it's making BO history but how come it's no where to be found on USA BO charts. Don't tell me they again missed the deadline to report box office numbers for publication in the final tally. How come you few folks like adril 17 are able to see US BO take of K3G and no one else?
