I just saw the movie K3G at Cinesphere in Ontario Place located in Downtown Toronto

The cost of ticket was $10 for the ticket plus $2 for the ticketmaster.ca charge. ($12 per ticket through ticketmaster)

The experience was thrilling what with the 60 ft tall screen with great DOLBY DTS sound. The movie is so rich in sound and picture, colours, cinematography, dances etc that watching it at ALBION or WOODSIDE (usual shitholes for Indian movies in Toronto) would have been such a nightmare.

So if you are living near Toronto, or can drive to Toronto, dont think twice or dont wait for the Pirated DVD / VHS to come out. Just do a huge favour to yourself and watch the movie at CINESPHERE.

They show it on FRIDAY only at 8 pm ; SAT 4 pm and 8 pm ; SUN 4 pm and 8 pm shows.

I might go once more to see the movie at Cinesphere.

PS BEWARE: Make sure your sitting at the TOP of the Rows. 'A' row is at the bottom and you will kill yourself sitting close to the screen.

thanks for the details sunish. i actually saw it on the weekend at albion, but I still wanna check it out on imax, but i thought the tix would be 20 bucks.

some questions:

where else can i buy the tickets except over the internet?

was the theatre busy or empty?
(are people going to the imax for this film)

sachin, you could have bought the tickets on the day of the show. The box office was open at 12:30 pm on Saturday and I'm guessing that the tickets were still available (for 8 pm) at around 6 or 7. We bought tickets at 2:30, and got row H, corner.

The best seats (like row P-Z since A is at bottom) were probably available in the evenings. The shows were completely sold out with people spending around 30-40 mins just in the lines.

If you want to see it again, you could probably get tickets an hour before, but no later than that. It will still be pretty packed this coming weekend.

As a side note, was Albion sold out as well?? I know Woodside was sold out for sure...

Just a small technical clarification here. The sound must have been either in Dolby or DTS. Since both are seperate proprietry technologies you can't have both at the same time.

Man, haven't you heard of Dolby DTS?? It is the collabration between the two leading cinema sound speacialist to produce another revolutionary standard and they introduce this in what else but K3G!!! Damn we Indians are so lucky. :p

Sachin to answer your question: Tickets are available only at the Box Office and my guess is an hour before the show time.

If someone managed to get good tickets at BO, I envy them.

I am planning to see this movie at Cinesphere again in a month's time. Can't wait for the DVD to come out. Honestly, I do not think this movie is a Classic, or a flawless movie or better than previous. I admit and agree its just another typical YASHRAJ movie, with more glycerin used.

Just watch it for entertainment value, production values etc... and compare it to any movie released after DIL CHAHTA HAI and you will know you are watching a better flick.

Guys, forget flaws, remember to enjoy whatever you can. Don't expect wonders from YASHRAJ anymore... unless Yash Chhopra directs any movie himself. I have lost faith in younger Chhopras and Johars.

P-Z seems to be a huge range...if you guys don't mind, could you say which is the best seat letter (and number) if possible...There are actually 10 of my friends going so a range of numbers would be apprecieated..

TicketMaster's Web site has the Seating Chart.. go on to Ontario Place Web site and click on Cinesphere and find K3G listed and click on "Look for tickets"

As a thumbrule, anything higher is better... Bottom is 'A'

Sorry to say but that's not completely correct. Actually the best seats in the theater is approx 2/3 of the way up in terms of rows and in the center of the row. Although this does change a bit depending on the theater. A good way to decide on the best seats is to get as close as possible to be high enough and in the center of the row, so that you are looking directly (straight) at the center of the screen both vertically and horizontally.

Can any one clarify it for me please, whether it is a special IMAX print or a regular 35mm print being shown on the IMAX screen? Cinesphere website states it to be a 35mm print?
