i dont get it.. why shemaroo authors pleasingly sharp for sky, and yet it's own dvd is not sharp.

Arsh, you know I did the SKY version shots of this film, without knowing you were doing it too! Otherwise, I would have done comparative shots... I have sent them, in any case to UL, not bad for Sky, but Shemaroo is definately more colourful as usual!

I am not a great fan of the thespian but enjoyed Vyjantimala's dances and Naushad's music was great...

Would you be kind enough to let me know where you are getting Shemaroo titles from in USA, and whether they would ship to UK. Thanks.

Send him a PM (private message) bud!!! :;):

if it was buyable (or publishable) thru the internet, he would be the first one to put the link on zulm.

It'll be nice to merge the two Sunghash threads.

arsh, do you mean, the colour is faded? yes it is. but dont agree of its being dull is the sense of sharpness.

Sky is faded/dull, but the colours are quite suitable for an old film - it gives it that authentic feel, like certain prints of Mother India and Taj Mahal! Given the choice, I would probably go for Shemaroo...

Both versions are missing a song and a few scenes. I recall that I had or have a full version of this movie on VHS.
