After seeing its song in EROS songs DVD my 10 yr old gave me an ultimatum, she wants Woh Kaun Thi DVD in my next parcel. Still, before ordering I want to get some idea on it's PQ, audio etc.

BTW, when was this DVD released?? Looks like a recent release from EROS??

Thanks.

So you can't venture a guess? :D Anyhow, this one is riddled with all the cliche's you are so familiar with. No restoration, Field average with film to pal to ntsc transfer, in other words no better than a vhs copy. Don't waste your money to buy this, rent it if you must see it! :D Curiously, on the back cover it says in color but on my Play Station, Sony and Panasonic players it shows B/W, since I have not seen this on the big screen can't tell if it was released in color or B/W. :D

When the film was released, Municipality run Milk booths, staffed by girls, was a new thing in New Delhi. Someone had guessed it on the Milk Booth in the form a slogan:

Woh Kaun Thi?

Woh Doodh Dene Waali Thi.
:D

The film was B&W. Perhaps the most scary after Mahal and Bees Saal Baad, till then.

BTW, EROS Woh Kaun Thi is selling for over $ 10 at most sites, where as on the EROS site, it's selling for $ 4.99 only. What's the catch??

Does there have to be a catch? I find nearly all Eros titles cheapest at Eros's own website!

If EROS web site is selling a title for $ 4.99, wouldn't/ shouldn't it cost the same if picked from their store or their distributor's store, in person?? Just wondering. I prefer personal shopping.

I think Eros use titles of their own brand as PROMOTION. They charge break-even prices for eros titles and make extra profits on other brands... Its a 'cheap' way of inducing business to their ONLINE SITE!!

Ragz Ultra is better than Eros, Eros is too dark & gloomy

Thank you, Sageer. Yes, "Woh Kaun Thi" in Ultra quality does look satisfactory. I had posted my query before the days YouTube libraries were so diverse. That, or I simply had no clue that trawling for films/song sequences on YouTube to get an essence of their DVD/Blu-ray versions was a good idea. Much appreciated your feedback, though. I wanted to ask you something. Do you deem 1960s Hindi films worth buying on mediocre quality DVDs in the present times?

Majority of the movies online have a decent print but a lot of scenes or songs are heavily cut that's why i prefer dvds
