I have seen two different Pardes DVDs in the store.

Eros/DEI version with Dolby Digital Surround (4 channel)
&
Eros/B4U version with Dolby Digital 5.1

Are there any difference between these two versions?
1. Audio format? (I don't believe what they write on the cover.)
2. Video format - ASR (2.35:1) v/s 16:9?
3. Progressive v/s Interlaced

Keep in mind!!Pardes was released twice by DEI, like DILSE, regular and platinum! whether SOUND was enhanced to 5.1, I dont know? never owned, never will, EROS/Poo4U version..

i have the platinum version for pardes and dil se... both of the platinum ones have dd5.1, progressive, enhanced pic quality.
if you have a choice from the platinum verion and regular get the platinum you wont be sorry

I agree, IZZY, Platinum, way to go? BTW, did they do 1942 a love story platinum, too?

ya i got that one 2 i also got raja hindustani bazzigar, duplacate platinum i just know one thing it was very hard 2 find raja h. and dup, bazzigar platinum

I have the Dei/Eros fierst version of Pardes, and it is great quality the sound id 4 channel stereo but it is almost like 5.1. I havn't seen the platinum version of Pardes. I have not heard of platinum versions of Raja Hidustani or Bazigar, and Duplicat. These 3 movies have been released in only one regular version by Dei/Eros and Eros/B4u. Izzy u say u have the platinum of Raja H, how different is this version from the platinum version of Raja H if it exists?

Izzy I meant the differnce between the regular Raja H and the Platinum version of Raja H , if it exists.

Well, guys, Platinum, Pardes and Dil se are HAQEEQAT!

Platinum..1942..Love..Doubtful!

Platinum, RAJA HINdustani/Bazzigar etc, are imho, sirf AFSANA!! ha ha! CHEERS!

actully the raja h( platinum) has dd5.1 pq is the same. and for 1942, bazzigar, and duplacate they all have the same pq as the regular dei/eros but they all have dd5.1 dont know if the regular had dd5.1

I think 1942 was 2.0 stereo, and Baazigar was probably mono.

by the way they r all progressive it is extreamly hard 2 find the platnum versions. i got hold of them because my dad knows the wholesaler very well. oddly when he got the shipments quite a while back he got some reg dei/eros and platinum in the same order
by the way the whole salers make the dvds expensive. for example i got k3g 2 disk from him for 25 cdn and he sells it 2 the stores for 35 cdn

Is it worth to look for platinum version (with DD5.1) of Pardes DVD if I already have a Pardes DVD with 4 channel stereo?
