peter brook's "the mahabharata", all 313 minutes of it in PAL, spread across 2 DVDs, now available in India from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, in a special pack that comes with a 120-page hardcover book - "in search of mahabharata" by jean-claude carriere.

this could easily be the best edition in the world of peter brook's classic, given the great packing, the book, and the fact that it is the complete version while newer dvds of this title available abroad are the shorter theatrical 180-minute version only.
