DARAAR is the most disgusting remake of SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY. Because too much violence and blood and gore will make u sick. Abbas-Mustan made a very violent movie and they thought it'll work. But unfortunately, it didn't. YARAANA and AGNI SAKSHI were at least watchable. YARAANA had some comic elements and Madhuri Dixit and her awesome 'Mera Piya Ghar Aaya' song and dance. AGNI SAKSHI had commendable performance from Nana Patekar. But DARAAR has nothing working in its favour. The story is directly lifted from the original but the ending is weak unlike SWTE. The heroine suffers too much from her evil husband but lets a tub-of-the-lard hero fight him off. And she does nothing just give a lifelong lecture about the duties of a devoted husband and wife and cry. Rishi Kapoor should STOP acting like a romantic jerk. What made him work in another SWTE remake after YARAANA which flopped badly. He's aging and is too fat and short. Arbaaz Khan is another horrible actor. Considering this is his debut and he had a challenging role to play, Arbaaz might be forgiven. He was very loud and violent. Juhi Chawla played the romantic belle and a scared wife at the same time. She looked convincing for the first part but sucked at the latter part. Her role was not thought out well. Still she was better than Manisha Koirala and even Madhuri Dixit in AGNI SAKSHI AND YARAANA in my opinion. Music was horrible and was not needed in the first place.
