Did anyone NOTICE something BIG about the differences between MoserBaer DVD9 (1-disc edition) & Studio 18 DVD9?

not the sound or PQ

but the LENGTH of the film.

on Studio 18 - 2 hours 24 mins approximately

on MB - 2 hours 17 minutes approximately!

I don't have time to figure out what is missing! I just bought the MB disc tonite hate the sound, but the PQ is better in MY opinon than S18 !!!

now you have a better source in your hand for video.Audio you can alway enhance.

MB disc is nearly 7 minutes SHORTER...you KNOW me.

why do you think i've been BEGGING EVERYONE for the salaam-e-ishq 2-disc TSeries disc...it is UNCUT.

i wasted 9$ on this piece of junk

it could be that the MoserBaer disc is 4% sped up and that no scene is really missing.

4% of 144 minutes (Viva/TipTop dvd) when subtracted from 144 minutes is 138 minutes (MoserBaer).

Does anyone know for sure any specific scenes are missing from MB?

4% Speed Up or not:

It's not too difficult to figure out if a video is 4% speed up or not in a film originated video.
Just step forward and look for repeat/ "dual frame info in a video still" sequence. If it's 5, there is no speed up. If it's 6, there is a 4% speed up.

Typical:
No 4% speed up:
1,2,3,4,4 repeat, 1,2,3,4,4repeat, and so on
Or
1,2,3,4a,4b, 1,2,3,4a,4b, and so on

Film to PAL to NTSC converted (4% speed up):
1,2,3,4,5,5 repeat, 1,2,3,4,5,5 repeat, and so on
Or
1,2,3,"4-5-6","4-5-6","4-5-6", 1,2,3,"4-5-6","4-5-6","4-5-6", and so on.

Main thing to see is whether the pattern is repeated every 5 or every 6 frames in a NTSC video.
PAL TV programs converted to NTSC too have a 6 frame repeat sequence.

In a few cases, where the video is really really bad as a result of multiple times PAL-NTSC-PAL conversions or copying, it's not possible to figure out 4% speed up or not.
