I concur with u rana!!

(((Let me comment ABHISHEK's so called vALUABLE presence!!

Abhishek, enternace, as he is QUIET type looks like a blessing in disguise so audience get a bREAK from GARISH, LOUD , ACTING going on..

He is just like his nORMAL self ABHISHEK, nothing more..iMHO..Where was his EMOTIONAL, GREAT PERFORMANCE? I did not see it!! ))) :nopity: :bash:

Actually I believe the article was on Rediff.com stating that the way Hrithik and Abhishek portrayed themselves in MPKDH they are in fact the exact opposite in real Life. Hrithik is the introvert and Abhishek the prankster, an extrovert.

I'm talking of only the last scene that I find objectionable. Does it happen, even in the west, that Some one picks and flirts with some one else's wife as his valentine and the husband doesn't mind??

Yes there was an adult main stream hollywood film, Bob and Carol Ted and Alice'. Is India that way now??

The ENTIRE FILM, from TALKING TOTTA, To LOUD KAREENA/Hrithik, ANIMATED TOTTA/KUTTA, SWIZ NAGAR!!

RIVER RAFTING/BUNGI JUMPING, SCUBA DIVING..was so GARISH, PHONY, UNBELIEVABLE!!

then that SUBDUED ABHISHEK and that 45 minutes long VALENTINE PARTY EXTRA SHIT with SANJNA song!! and in the END, another VALENTINE, followed by HONEY MOON with TOTTA!! and SEX PREACHING was ICING on the VALENTINE CAKE..LOL>>

No India is definately not that way but then again since when have Bollywood films portrayed any thing realistic. As a matter of fact this whole Valentine thing is just something that Bollywood keeps thrusting down the Indian culture and it is no way as big as it is made out to be in Bollywood films.

It's for a "Friend's day" thing... Not an actual valentine.

And, honestly, I rather liked this film myself. I thought Abhishek's restrained performance was quite well-done.

Hrithik's performance, my God... overacting.

And Kareena's performance, the less said the better! I don't understand how she is still in Bollywood when she's not good-looking, she can't act, and she's irritating as hell.

Who is that one guy who was in MPKDH (I think Abhishek's dad?) who is always in a dad in like every movie? He played Aish's dad in Taal, Kajol's dad in KKKG, Salman's dad in HAHK (I think)... he's a really good actor, really soft and restrained...

You are refring to MR. ALOK NATH..he is DAMN GOOD!!

But he was not in MPKHD..IMHO, or I did not see him? :baaa: ??? :oo:

I think you are referring to 'Alok Nath'.

Oops... looks like Arsh beat me to the answer by a few minutes. I have not seen Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon so I just assumed Alok Nath must have been in it too. Specially considering that he has been ther ein all Sooraj Barjatya films so far.
