Yes, Rana!! That's right! But, probably they can just colorize it for home video purpose.

And Sasural, Mughal-E-Azam was publicized to a very great extent. That's why, it became popular and was attracted people from all generations.

Or, since it was the first colorized film, everyone watched it only to give colorized movies a try and ended up getting disgusted at the destruction of the classic, therefore, they lost interest in watching colorized movies any further.
Or, since Mughal-E-Azam was the greatest epic of Indian cinema, people went to watch why it was so. And didn't even bother about Naya Daur and Hum Dono colour, as they aren't that great.

I seriously believe that colorizing of movies shouldnt be done, to prevent financial loss. Moreover, the least they can do is to colorize them to home video release.

Many new films with much more PR did not run for 25 weeks. And remember that Mugal E Azam ran against a Sharuk Khan blockbusterl

I threw the Hong Kong bootleg out in disgust I'm afraid ;)

Here's the old Zulm review of the YRF DVD:

I had been pining to read the old reviews, until your post helped me to view it again.

Thank you so very much for that! I'm so happy to see these reviews...

Please have a chocolate on my behalf ;)

LOL! You should've kept the cover at least ;) It was really nice.. :D

The YRF artwork was decent too. I wish they had put half of the decency into the authoring job. They'd have dished out a glorious transfer with that potential.
