but Carlotta and DEI are the Theatrical versions, they are inferior prints.

The longer directors' cut is better, just needs to be matted into widescreen format, but the only source is Eros/b4u version i think

stay with it then!

I am not sure of the source, but according to this post its getting ready for a release from Carlotta Films - ofcourse Region coding could be an issue !

If they don't sort out the sound on the release it'll be a waste of BD. However, if they work on getting the original soundtrack it will be great. Their DVD was okay - I felt that the colours were not up to par and the sound was just awful however it was better than the other versions of Sholay from EROS and DEI etc.

Some French releases are not region coded but as this is the first time Carlotta are doing BD we don't know their preference.

I bought that Thai DVD a while ago. It's just the current Eros disc with a Thai dubbed audio track.

Hmm, a few...

DEI, Eros, Carlotta, XXX and an old VHS tape. Also, three soundtracks on CD and one on vinyl.

Well, it's an awesome movie after all. ;)

I agree! There are not very many movies that can withstand the stick of time, standing tall and triumphant!

Recently when I saw Ghaii's Karz, imho, it fell on its face badly! But not SHOLAY!
