Why so much difference in PQ between Rip and EROS??

Is it that rip is from the original telecine (PAL) and EROS one is it's conversion to NTSC and nth copy??

Also, Ali, could you please change the poll title to reflect the fact that most of us gave the relatively high PQ rating, looking at the rip shots and not the actual DVD.

Hey Hey now begging to take your ratings back, guys!! :P and you thought I was jumping to conclusions.

Look at all previous ali etc's XVID shots, they dont telly with original dvds.

I am still willing to be proven wrong by eros, sheros, zeros though.

Yeh you’re right. All the Xvid rips I’ve seen (for educational purpose only :ffs:  ), especially from this BrG groups looks way better than original DVDs. Maybe because they’ve reduced in size and hence look slightly shaper or they’ve been re-processed to process full frames (you don’t see the inter-combed frames you witness on the original DVDs). They you go, pirate rips are better than the original DVD, go figure.

Are Xvid rips just the screen caps or full movie available somewhere somehow legally illegally?? How to ---??

Xvid can't be copy of EROS legit DVD. Copy can't have more detail than source and in this case, Xvid shots definitely have more detail. Pehaps Xvid version is sourced from the original telecine?? It sure is a lot better than EROS legit DVD.

Thanks.

The quality looks pretty good for a EROS release but the main problem persists : THIS ***** EROS LOGO THAT KEEPS ANOYING YOU WHEN WATCHING.

Just for that LOGO I would go for the Video Sound edition :

The Xvid is sourced from the original Eros DVD. Full movie Xvid encoded is available to download for FREE! – obviously illegally

Pirate with the floating VS logo (bottom right/left, top right/left and middle). This DVD (VCD or whatever you want to call it) released way right after the flick hit the theatres.
