Ultra Stereo came first. But as always, the format isn't anywhere as important as the quality of work. As such HAHK's sound completely loses any significance to 1942's elaborate sound design.

Hey Ram was in sync sound, with a lot of technical glitches - mainly distortion in the dialogue. Abhay wasn't in sync sound.

Thanks again for the late info, but it is not worth for many of us who have already bought these titles and got robbed of our hard earned money by Ayngaran. (I have returned 3 Dvds already!!!)
But luckily now those that haven't bought can be prevented from buying these. You also have to add "MANASELLAM" to the above.
I remain on alert to the Ayngaran titles as you never know which titles Ayngaran may give to this cheap DVD producing company again.
Sunny I hope you'll inform us earlier on the quality of the next releases sooner than the bad word of mouth (and the loss of money to Zulmis and others).

Out of around 10-15 titles which are below avarage quality you have become wary of Ayngaran who have released over 250 DVD titles most in decent quality and who have at least put in an effort dispite thier limtations...funny how ppl forget this :)

Also why not crticse the DVD authoring company by calling Ayngaran and informing them of the problems. If your not saying then how can they be hearing!!!

I have informed them and they assured me that all big titles (Joot, P Saravanan, Ratnam's AE) will be done in thier usual manner.

Oh and I should warn you that Virumandi DVD will be mono, this is due to Kamal Hassan production company not releasing the DTS source DA8 tapes to Ayngaran for legal reasons. Ayngaran will do two releases one in Mono (next month) and one in Dolby 5.1 and DTS (later on this year - if the mess is sorted out).

thnx for your suggestion to complain to Ayngaran. Actually I was hoping your comments (as your are close to them) would have more impact, simple as that.
As you are a fan of Tamil movies on (Good) Dvds, which you have understood I am as well, I assumed you would make us aware of the problems on these discs.
But Ayngaran was for me the provider of High Quality Tamil Dvds and will remain in the future. My concerns on those low quality Dvds were 'cause I usually buy even flop films (I had bought Anjaneya and Alai knowing they were washouts and storyless films) just because it is released by Ayngaran and that PQ would be the best I could ever get for such a film. But I was letdown on them and did't want any other dvds to be of that sort. I have also made this clear locally here at the shops.
Therfore, Ihope Ayngaran ditches that awful authoring company and brings us back some cool stuff as before...

I really hope Virumaandi gets a better treatment than Mono + are there any Sp Features ?
