DEI's Yeh Dillagi is a decent DVD, improvements would be an anamorphic presentation of the flick and some trailers.

Lamhe DVD got have this one, personally dont care who it is manufactured by (Prasad,Super Digital). It is finally coming from a good banner and has to be better than the ERO$, MDE and Samrat versions currently doing rounds! At least it is Anamorphic and some an interesting featurette. Cant wait.

Arsh I also expect the same thing :(

Looks like YRF and SuperDigital have met the same fate as Eros and DEI....

Is this some kinda plague the film rights owners are facing ?.. To skip all the companies that give us Progressively encoded DVDs ?

Even if it is interlaced, I hope this will be a good DVD. Lamhe has been a highly anticipated title, and YRF will piss off many people if it isn't decent. Too bad it will have a pseudo 5.1 track. Who do they think they are fooling? And I think "Lamhe Glorious Moments" will just be a montage of clips from the film.

I guess it's time to buy a dupe of the YRF one when it comes out. Why can't they give us our money's worth? Nah, that would be too easy.

Zabout time. i was wondering if yrf would ever get their act together to release one of their best movies ever produced. hope the dvd's better than their silsila product tho. i wanted interviews with da cast. for silsila it waz obviously not possible cuz of reel life and real life parallels with the movie, but it should be doable for lamhe.

Lamhe is advertised as:
"Digitally re-mastered from the original film".

Abhinetri was advertised as:
Remastered from Film using NTSC Telecine. This clearly indicates a Progressive transfer.

Can we say the same for LAMHE which is "Digitally re-mastered from the original film"??
May be??
Other possibilities are Film to PAL to NTSC, but all digital transfers. May or may not end up Progressive.

Look at Abhinetri, then look at all the other YRF titles that say "Digitally re-mastered from the original film." Do you really expect a decent transfer? I'd love to be surprised, but considering that this a YRF transfer of an older film, I expect a mediocre transfer.

I TOTALLY FOLLOW INTO DRAGUN'S FAVOUR!! I DONT EXPECT THIS ONE LIKE ABHINETRI..NO WAYS..SD IS NOT DOING IT AND THEY OWN RIGHTS EITHER, YRF IS GOING TO GIVE US CHANDNI KINDA TRANSFER (STRETCHING) BY PARSAD!!

SEND AN E MAIL TO SD RANA JI???

U KNOW LAMHE IS ONE OF MY TOP FAVOURITE FILMS, LIKE MANY OTHER PEOPLE HERE!!

DIGITALLY REMASTERED IS JUST A HOLLOW SLOGAN TO WIN MASSES!! NOTHING ELSE!

LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO ANGOOR, SO DONT KEEP YOUR HOPES HIGH ON THIS ONE AND AS BH SAID, GO FOR DUPE!!!

BTW!!LAMHE USED TO BE ON DEI'S TABLE, BEFORE THEY BROKE UP WITH EROS ALONG WITH MR. INDIA??

DEI GAVE UP ON LAMHE AS THEY COULD NOT FIND DECENT NEGATIVE( PER DEI) AND THEY WANTED TO DO MR. INDIA WITH DD 5.1 REMIX...

I AM GLAD YRF DOES NOT HAVE MR. INDIA...IF EROS GETS IT DONE FROM SHEMROO, WE WILL GET A BETTER DVD ON LEVEL OF JUDAII AND YES BOSS OR ISHQ!!

FROM YRF/PARSAD COMBO OR VIA SD ONLY HOPE FOR A GANGA MELI..KINDA MAELA DVD!!

:baaa: :stupid: :bangbang:

"Remastered from Film using NTSC Telecine" Implies Progressive transfer.

"Digitally re-mastered from the original film", in case of Lamhe, doesn't say NTSC telecine and hence may or may not be Progressive.

In the best scenario of "Digitally re-mastered from the original film", it may very well be Direct Film to NTSC transfer using telecine.

The worst case, I hope it doesn't end up that way, is Film to PAL and then to-,-,-,-,-, and then to NTSC with only one digital transfer and all the rest Non Digital.
