To my knowledge, there has never been a DEI version of Hum. The DVD in existence has decent picture and sound quality. The former is, indeed, "sharp." That said, it's a far cry from a "good" DVD. The colors are really, really washed out, and the image is cropped.

The dvds i have seen are from Pen (india) GVI (uk) samrat(usa). I have seen media digital shots. Is it same as Apollo's?

There is a theatrical version print which was released by Apollo video in UK, which has scenes cut from the dvds mentioned above. These are:

1)Amitabh and Govinda's college principle comedy scene.
2)Govinda brings home fake racing trophy to fhis family.
3)the 3 brothers singing 'ek doosre se..' in cricket uniform just before end credits.

anyone notice this?

dr ali naeem said it was the new Apollo version dvd. This also has the 3 scenes i mentioned in theatres cut out. So there is no full length Hum dvd yet, only VHS.
The GVI would be the same as KMI. It looks like Dr Alinaeem's dvd has been enhanced with contrast and sharpness from the same source as other dvds.

It might just be a typo; I don't see the DEI logo anywhere on the shown cover.
