It's a bit of a vicious circle to be honest - I don't completely understand or agree with Jat and his championing of pirated DVDs, but in the good old days, I bought a lot of original Hindi DVDs by the likes of Eros and Video Sound - and I would have been better off getting a VHS copy. They've had plenty of revenue from me, and have they used the cash to improve the quality of their DVDs? With a company of Eros's size, they can easily afford to hire a US authoring company to do a good transfer, but that would mean less profits for the bosses.

What worries me is the inconsistency of the transfers - they don't seem to understand what makes a good DVD - they wouldn't have put out some of the shoddiest transfers seen if they did.

What I'm trying to say is that if the originals are the same quality as the pirates (In Eros's case they are) whats the point of paying more for the originals

If you look at the old days when Eros were with DEI then there DVD's were great and the same could be said for Video Sound Super Digital




I dont think its that I think they dont give a hoot, Eros just want to fill there pockets , If people did not buy there products that would sure teach them a leason and then maybe they might make a good dvd

Me too please! I have ordered the original DVD but I want to see this with my own eyes and do a comparison.

The original Eros OSO DVD is flawed - but is still miles ahead of the pirate. The copy that you've posted screenshots of is pretty bad compared to the original, but each to their own - if you're happy with that copy, so be it. The Eros DEI DVDs were good, but again flawed - cropped AR is one of the big problems I remember. As for Video Sound, have they ever released a good DVD? There are a couple of good Super Digital titles, but that's about it.

Again as you say each to there own but I would say most if not all Super Digital DVD's made for Video Sound were good, If you compare the ones Media Dimensions made for Video Sound and the ones Video Sound made them self’s you will se what I mean
