So can anyone tell me which version of Dil Chahta Hai should I buy ? Cause I don't want to have the same problem. For information, I just bought a DVD player (Harman Kardon DVD25).

I've had same freezing problems with my spark DCH dvd also.

The good news is that I've finally come across one that dosn't freeze.

Its the Lagaan/DCH two in one combo.. which happens to be on gold media...

But a word of caution the first Lagaan/DCH disc was a silver disc and it wouldn't play....

Got it changed (gold media) and havn't had any problems with yet...

Bravo 'PIRATES'.

Teach 'ORIGINALS' a lesson.

While UK and USA fans are stuck with the bogged down version of the film, a new version is now in the works.

Using Ayngaran's Boys DVD as reference Farhan Akthar is now working on a new version of Dil Chahta Hai for the Indian DVD domestic release. The film has been supervised by the director (from telecine) and is to be on DVD in anamorphic 2.35:1. Dolby 5.1 with Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali Subtitles. There is also a brand new documentray on the making of the film (different to Spark version). This new doc was made for the DVD.....oh yes for the zlumies I can inform you that the DVD is progressive :)

Excellent news! Now I'm wondering how we in the UK, US and Canada will be able to get hold of this DVD!

Great News, but what is the name of the company that is doing this DVD of DCH in India? Last info from Shemaroo points out that T-Series owns the rights, and Shemaroo was in the market to buy the DVD rights for DCH if T-series was willing to sell the DVD rights to DCH.

The DVD is to be released by the director and prodcuers themselfs. Rights for T-Series ran out in 2003.

I would assume Prasad is authoring it, but the production company is releasing it under their banner.

Yeap as I said Farhan Aktar and Ritesh was happy with Ayngaran DVDs and asked Prasad Labs (Chennai) to improve the version they did for Spark a couple years back.
