DragunR2 posted comments about the DVD on the old forum here;

"Someone I know has the "100 Days" disc by Indus. It's also total crap. The picture is cropped to 1.66:1 (If you're going to crop a 'scope image to 1.66:1, you might as well make it 1.33:1.), the sound is horrible, the video is VCD quality, and there are no chapter stops. Ridiculous. The only American discs that match Indus, WEG, and recent Eros discs are the public domain companies that make their DVDs from VHS!"

Not seen the film myself.

Eros 100 Days DVD shots - really good colour and contrast. Video presented @ 2.10:1 aspect ratio with pseudo 5.1 sound;

I cant believe people have not seen this movie. I thought everyone who watches bollywood movies has seen it. I've always regarded it as a popular bollywood movie. Anyway in my own opinion, its a great movie. Very tense and totally thrilling and gripping. I dont know if its a remake of a lucio fulci movie. Fulci makes horror movies and this wasnt scary at all. The story goes like this. Years ago madhuri dixits sister was murdered and this woman sort of video tapes it. She tries to approach dixit but the tape gets mixed up at a video store. A man is on their trail

That certificate is for the video (hence in 1996), whereas the certificate on the KMI DVD is for the theatrical release, hence the proper date.

Was just watching the Eros DVD today, when I noticed the censor certificate (see Hero's screenshot above). This version (with the V/U certificate) was a certificate for video like I mentioned before, but I've only just noticed that it was revised for telecast on Doordarshan (if I'm not wrong, Doordarshan only shows films with U certificates).

So, is the Eros version cut? Revising a film from an 'A' certificate to a 'U' certificate must have needed some sort of editing - and is there an uncut version of this film around?

Doordarshan does show A as well as U/A movies, as do other TV channels, and sometimes, the movie may be edited for TV telecast purposes.

when the film was first released in 1991 i saw it on VHS by Apollo Video and the eros dvd version is the same, so i guess from that idea its not a cut version
