Ready to take on the Oscar

After beating the British at their own game of cricket, Aamir Khan is getting ready to take on competition at the Oscars.

Aamir is going all out to promote Lagaan. He has decided to send maximum numbers of the print abroad and has also appointed a firm to promote the film.

Anyone has more info on mainstream release in North America?

More update of LAGAAN vis a vis Oscars.

Seems like Aamir is leaving no stone unturned to make sure his film gets to the final 5 and here he presents some challenges he faces precisely for the that....

I think Aamir should be made aware about the great treatment his movie recieved from SONY/Columbia tristar, or may be he KNOWS!!!
I kinda have a feeling, it might be the SHITTY EROS strategy to come up with special edition!!!But I don't expect from Columbia for Hindi viewrs sake only!!
If Aaamir/Sony really wanted their movie to reach internationally to all audience, then an ENGLISH soundtrack and a feature on CRICKET as game for introduction on the disc or as a leaflet included in disc would have been very valuable, esp for region one dvd!!where this game is not well known!and esp all big chains are going to rent the movie!!aka block buster video etc!IMO!! :baaa:

I like that Idea.. maybe highlights of some of the best Indian Wins in Cricket.. like the 1983 World Cup Final.. I am sure a lot of cricket fans would buy this for that purpose.. :D

Overall I was so waiting for this DVD and now it seems I should not buy it. Just waiting to rent it from Rogers Video Store as someone said they will have it when it is released.

If its good and reviews from MH or Ali say it is good enough, I will buy it.
