Seeming the tickets to K3G was sold out, i had to spend my £5.65 watching this turd.. it was so shite that i really wanted to walk out!! Om Puri was funny, Navin Nischol played an over fat ugly sonofabitch fucking arsehole superhero named Manu!! I think bollywood is trying to cash in on the India meets hollywood humour!! East is East was excellent, American Desi was a bit pointless but Bollywood Calling is a big pile of shite with a cherry on top.. dont even waste ure money on this crap!!

I spent $10 on K3G so I have a right to my opinions. I am a big fan of KKHH and K3g can't beat that film especially with the scene "Jan Gan Man". That was pathetic with the goras standing up to the song and I have no idea what was the whole point except maybe to make the desi crowd be nostalgic/patriotic.

yeah, some of it was over the top, but overall the movie was tight, I actually almost started to cry 3 times during the movie (almost, I said.).

Kuch kuch hota hai was groundbreaking, but K3G brought out some strong emotions from the audience, despite a few minor flaws.

If you need things to go from the lowest bad to even worse - call the Eros muppet squad! The Bollywood Calling DVD is again a new low. They've gone back to the squashed video look similar to the first release of Aashiq, Kasoor and CCCC – actual 1.85 video appears as 2.35:1. And the 102mins film is squeezed onto a singled layered disc. Video is very poor, blurry with faded colours. Sound is mono (original was DTS! )

No wonder IW has dropped the price to $8.99.

Which showing did you go to? I was up in Manchester for a few days and went to see K3G at the Trafford Centre on the Sunday - however whilst standing in the ticket queue all the K3G tickets were being sold out. :-/

Anyway, then went to see Bollywood Calling.. I liked it - there was something missing, but also something about it which I really liked...

What spoilt it for me was a bunch of brats who were sitting in the back two rows, smoking (in a non-smoking cinema), chucking food at each other and shouting at each other. When will these people ever grow up or learn any manners?

I watched Bollywood Calling - it's a pretty good film, "something different" to quote the film! It’s not to be compared to East is East or American Desi - Bollywood Calling is unique insight to Bollywood film making - all its doing is making fun of itself - and it works pretty well. Om Puri is class as always and others give a decent performance for what is a low budget movie.

Some class lines in the film;

‘I’m a beginner cameraman, once I become famous, I can also be late”

“Is there no such thing as characterisation?”

question: “Sir, what expression for me?”
answer: “Bastard I kill you, all gondas, b***** I kill you!”

“I’m popular, rich, so I sell myself like a cheap whore... ...at one point they would at least attempt to make a good film, but now there’s absolutely no pretence”

“verrry different”

..now how many of these line run true for today’s films? :bored:

Ali :sleep:
