I was interested in seeing this movie, and wondered how the movie was. Also, if I bought the DVD, is it any good?

It's one of those movies either you love or hate. It's one of the movie thats great to look at but digesting the cornball story is matter of taste. Get the DVD not for the story but technical excellence.

I enjoyed the movie and the DVD is of reference quality. Infact it has been chosen as the DVD of the yr at Home Theater Forum, if that means anything to you.

I did not like the film. The story was pretty cornball, but many of the musical numbers were kind of fun. Sorry, but I just could not keep my attention on the film! OTOH, if you want a good demo disc, better to get this than Pearl Harbor :)

I was one that hated the film. The acting and plot stank, dispite wonderful visuals and production values. The songs and music is okay.

The DVD is fantastic, and showcases the film much better then the cinema halls ever did. One worth getting!

I just loved the Moulin Rouge exp.
Excellent DVD, excellent movie with very simple story. I dont know any musicals ever had strong story. I was skeptical Nicole Kidman could do justic to the role, but she was amazing.

Lakeshore is right you will love it or hate, nothing in between.

The rear channels on the soundtrack for this movie aren't very active.....I can't remember how it was when I watched it theatrically.
