Thanks to urbanlegend for sending these screen shots in - this is Soldier authored by DEI for Eros - one of the pivotal Indian DVD releases for its time – this DVD together with Satya delivered how Indian movies could be viewed in homes – mostly excellent picture and some of most engaging 5.1 mixes can be experienced from both Solider and Satya - only crying shame was the cropped video :sus:

Does anyone know how the DEi/Eros version of Soldier compares to its pirated DVD?

If your referring to pirate meaning ERO$, DEI is miles ahead! Only good thing about the ERO$ DVD would be that, now I havent seen it, it might be OAR with false 5.1 mix and PQ downgraded. All the DEI/ERO$ combo DVDs that ERO$ redid would more or less be like I described with the only exception possibly being Gupt ERO$/B4U which was good.

A few screenshots of Shemaoo version are indicative of a progressive encoding. When was the Shemaroo version authored/released? As usual, DVNR rears its ugly head; only leaving the aspect ratio an advantage over the DEi DVD. On my screen, DEi screenshots look better detailed, and lesser artifact-ridden.
I wonder how the sound of the two versions compares.
