Apparently has become the fastest growing consumer entertainment product ever and has been making news headline here on TV;

..I can just imagine it now; many people taking new DVD players home and watching state of art video playback from Region 2 DVDs while the people who take the DVD players home to watch Indian movies are probably tampering with it already saying its not working properly as the picture is worse than their pirate VHS collection! :p

Ali I beg to differ..I hacked my DVD player and now I have made in Macrovision Free !!! Also my DVD player is region free ! Its not Desis tampering with their DVD players but STUPID desis tampering with their DVD players that causes the problem !

I think you missed the whole point of Ali's post. He was not reffering to the Region Coding issue or the anti piracy features of DVD. Rather he was referring to the poor quality of Indian DVDs.
