There were rumours that Manoj Kumar’s multi-starrer ROTI KAPADA AUR MAKAAN would be screened in just two shows daily, thanks to its excessive length.

(At that time, it was reported to be a 6 hour film)

Woder whatever happened to the remaining 3 hrs of film. If not 3 hours exactly, for sure there must be lots of originally conceived film lying somewhere un-tapped. Home Video is a perfect medium for extra long versions. Sure, Manoj Kumar must have the film portions never seen before.

BEI has the DVD rights to Roti Kapda Aur Makaan. Any chances of getting these edited out segments or a new full 5-6 hour version??

Love to see version 4, 5 and 6 of the Maina Bhoolunga song... Its only repeated 3 times in the currently available edited version!!
