As Ali mentioned in one of his posts or in Deewar review, picking up EROS Deewar DVD can get you either of DEI version, without any DEI authoring indication, or EROS's own version.
Last month when I noticed that my DEI Deewar disc is missing, I tried to pick up another one. There were two EROS versions on the shelf. I picked up the one that looked like DEI cover but it turned out to be "not DEI". The other cheaper disc (EROS) too was the Indian packaging.
Then I found one DEI disc that a rental shop agreed to sell it to me.

-DEI-EROS (Progressive) encoding is a lot better than the EROS (field averaged interlaced, terrible pq) DVD.
DEI-EROS DVD is Mono (cover says Dolby digital Mono and disc is @ 224 kbps, excellent pq). 173 min
-EROS DVD that I picked too is 5.1 (fake) but cover says mono , cover is similar to DEI-EROS cover. 166 min (4% speed up).
-EROS Indian packaged has a little different cover and audio is 5.1 as per cover. Not sure how the audio is on actual disc ??

-Film had mono soundtrack.

I guess so.

One is the orig DEI-EROS (Prog, 173 min, 2 Ch Mono @ 224 kbps), second is EROS menus and DEI encoding (Prog), third is EROS encoding (Field Averaged interlaced, 166 min @ 4% speed up, Cover says Dolby Mono but disc has 5.1 @ 448 kbps). Then there is 4th packaging (Indian) that cover says 5.1 audio, not sure if it really has sound in all 6 ch out of mono source.

I looked for this disc pretty much everywhere but could never find it, then I finally just gave up, to hell with it. Anyway screenshots do look good, much sharper than the eros one.
